National Museum of Art in Vilnius

The idea was to design the extension of the historic building in such a way as to respect its original shape. The Radziwiłł Palace has been a witness and participant in history since the 17th century, traces of different eras can be seen on it. A. A clean and economical architectural form allows to extract the qualities of the historic structure. Contemporary solutions and details correspond to the historic facade and complement the historic building in a balanced way. The planned extension, and partly the reconstruction of the palace, focuses attention on the whole building, evenly exposing its individual parts.
