Architecture

The body of the building was designed to make the best possible use of the location’s potential – the view of the Jizera Mountains.  Thanks to the L-shaped form of the building, view openings to the picturesque surroundings have been preserved in most hotel rooms.

The hotel’s architecture was shaped by the authors’ desire to balance the local building tradition, protected by the provisions of the local plan, with the requirements of modernity dictated by the function of the building and the expectations of its users.

The inspiration of local architecture can be seen in both the form of the roofs and the building material – wood, further distinguished, for example, in the gable walls by a graphic motif. The modern character of the building, on the other hand, is emphasised by the large glazed walls of the rooms, giving the overall impression of lightness.

Interiors

The hotel provides 131 rooms, located on the 4 upper floors. The interiors of the rooms are arranged in such a way as to give a sense of relaxation, evoke positive emotions and affect the senses. Comfort is provided by wooden floors and walls finished with felt fabric, which is also a decorative element that makes the hotel unique.

On the other hand, the general interiors emanate a certain austerity achieved, among others, by a concrete ceiling with a visible drawing of formwork made of wooden boards, which is a metaphor for combining traditional construction with the technical character of modern architecture.

Active recreation

The section of the facility dedicated to sports and recreational activities includes a spa area with pools, saunas and jacuzzis, as well as an advanced wellness area with a cryochamber, high altitude chamber, massage and rehabilitation rooms and a salt or ice cave.

There are also several food and beverage venues of varying character planned for the site, such as a café, a ski bar and a restaurant with a terrace and mountain views, as well as a bar in the spa area.
