The subject of the project is a residential-service building and a multi-level garage, located in the heart of Gliwice, neighbouring the old town and the Silesia Technical University.
The investment area is hugely interesting for its varied neighbourhood and for being located at Dworcowa Street. The vicinty is filled with historic tenements, blocks of flats, temporary pavilions, and contemporary architecture. The designed block and its elevations are neutral, so that they are not received as new, gaudy elements of the area. They form a background for the old tenements and a non-contrasting neighbour for modern archotecture.
After analysing the investor's guidelines, the local development plan, and a visit to the place, it has been stated as most important to gain the most comfortable spaces, maintaining minimal surface requirements for two- and three-room apartments. This makes them not too big but very attractive. The presented solutions maintain optimal economic indexes.
The building of the multi-level garage has been intended for 270 cars, 10 motorcycles, and bikes. The floors are connected with the use of ramps. The building's façade is made of dark grey fine-grained plaster, broken with openwork wooden board fragments. The building's interior has been filled with orange informational elements.
